El Nido, Palawan: A Quick Guide to Paradise

There is nothing more homey than a town like El Nido and its heartwarming people.  Of all the trips I've had in 2014, I could probably say that this trip is my most favorite.  Here is a quick guide to planning your trip to paradise, that is El Nido, Palawan:

Paradise is inexpensive as you may otherwise think

Puerto Princesa, Palawan: The Great Escape

Last November of 2013, I made an impromptu 4-day trip with a friend I met at Siem Reap. I enjoyed Coron but Puerto Princesa took me by surprise. Here, I carried a Bearcat, explored one of the 7 new Wonders of the World, survived spelunking and zipline, jumped off a diving board in the sea, and saw beautiful fireflies & planktons illuminate.

Can you believe this?

Coron, Palawan: Majestic Malcapuya

Life surprises us with moments that take our breath away. This could be experienced with people, situations, or even places. When I started traveling again, I always believed that these breathtaking places can be found in other countries. I was wrong. I've been biased and just like Jon Snow (excuse my geekiness over Game of Thrones), I knew nothing at all. The moment we stepped on our first island in Coron, my eyes were feasting and filled with excitement. I never felt so happy and proud for having this in my motherland. I thought I saw everything the island had to offer on day 2... but I was wrong. Malcapuya proved me wrong.

Coron, Palawan: Reefs, Lakes, Wrecks, and Lagoons

Palawan is known for scenic landscapes and seascapes. Coron, a large municipality, has about 50 small islands comprising the eastern half of Busuanga in the northern part of Palawan. (Thank you wikipedia) It is halfway in-between of Puerto Princesa and Metro Manila. There are so many things you can do here especially if you're into water activities: Diving, Snorkeling, etc. And since we only had 3 days, our 2nd day went to island hopping.

White sand and blue-green water.

Coron, Palawan: My First Island Experience

Touchdown, Coron! For the record, i'm not supposed to be here. Last February 2013, My high school friend, Kyla, had to transfer her friend's name's ticket to me because she couldn't go. I'm glad she did.
